Welcome to St Annes Kite Festival
FREE! Yes FREE family fun on the beach!
Thanks to the support of St Annes and Fylde Borough council we are pleased to announce for the second year the St Annes Kite Festival on the 27th and 28th of July 2013. The skies above St Annes seafront will be awash with colour on Saturday and Sunday as fabulous display kites take to the air on the beach adjacent to the pier. Following from last years success we endevour to make next summer even bigger, better and more colourful. Check out the gallery or our facebook site for the pictures.
The festival will feature single line kites of all shapes and sizes, including a massive 30 metre long inflatable Octopus, flying cows, dogs and even hippos. Plus 2-line and 4-line stunt kites and so much more.
Bring your teddy bear to take part in the teddy parachute drop sponsored by Storytellers Inc Book Shop. Each brave teddy will receive a very special certificate of achievement. During the weekend there will be lots of entertainment for "kids of all ages" including market stalls and face painting and hopefully an army assualt course.
Weather permitting, the event promises a thrilling and thoroughly enjoyable day out for young and old alike. So pack a picnic, gather together family and friends, and head down to St Annes beach from 11.00am to 5.00pm for All The Fun of The Air!
Thankyou to everyone who submitted their photographs to the competition. We had a hard job choosing the winner but well done to Belinda Stokes and her family. We felt their picture best captured the family fun we were hoping the festival would create. Hope you enjoy flying the kite!
